A cervical cap is used with spermicidal jellies or creams that kill sperm. As birth control, cervical caps are 84-91% effective for women who have never given birth. Implant

An implant is a hormonal method of birth control that consists of match-sized plastic rods inserted just underneath the skin in the upper arm. The rods release a constant dose of a progestogen which creates the contraceptive effect and it works by the contraceptive effect of the implant is primarily achieved by inhibition of ovulation. Ovulations were not observed in the first two years of use and only rarely in the third year.
